B2B Search Engine Optimization

B2B SEO built around commercial intent, not traffic.

We help B2B companies become visible for the searches their buyers make while defining a problem, evaluating a category and comparing vendors — and we make sure those visits turn into qualified pipeline.

Discipline group: Search & Authority

Converging lines of light pass through stone rings and a sequence of spheres before curving upward toward a bright sphere.

B2B search is small in volume and large in value. A query with thirty monthly searches can be worth more than one with thirty thousand, if the right thirty people are making it.

That changes everything about how SEO should be planned, prioritized and judged. We build search programs around buyer intent and commercial value, then connect rankings to what happens in your CRM.

The premise

Traffic is a means. Pipeline is the outcome.

Many B2B SEO programs report growth that sales never feels: more sessions, more rankings, more blog posts — for queries that attract students, job seekers and competitors.

We start at the other end. Which searches are made by people who could become customers? Which pages must exist to win them? What does a visitor need to see before they are willing to talk to sales? Rankings are the mechanism; qualified opportunities are the point.

Search demand

The five kinds of B2B search worth planning for.

We map your market’s search demand by buying stage, not by keyword volume alone.

01
Category searches
Buyers who know the type of solution they need — “customer data platform”, “SOC 2 compliance software”. High value, highly competitive, usually decided by page quality and authority.
02
Problem-aware searches
Buyers describing the pain rather than the product. Often lower volume, often uncontested, and the best place to shape how a buyer frames the solution.
03
Comparison and alternative searches
“X vs Y”, “alternatives to X”. Late-stage, decisive, and frequently left to review sites because vendors are reluctant to publish honest comparisons.
04
Use-case and integration searches
Searches tied to a specific workflow, industry or tool. These signal fit, and they reward companies that document how the product is actually used.
05
Branded searches
Your name plus pricing, reviews, login, security or integrations. Often neglected, and often where evaluating buyers form their final impression.

What we do

Technical foundations, commercial architecture.

Good B2B SEO is less about publishing volume and more about architecture. The right set of pages, organized so search engines and buyers can understand what you do, who it is for and how it compares.

We combine technical SEO with information architecture and conversion design, because a page that ranks but cannot persuade a technical evaluator or an economic buyer has not done its job.

Where SEO connects

A ranking is only the first link in the chain.

  1. 01Search queryBuyer intent expressed
  2. 02ResultTitle and snippet earn the click
  3. 03PageAnswers the question credibly
  4. 04ConversionA proportionate next step
  5. 05CRMSource captured, lifecycle tracked
  6. 06PipelineValue attributed to search

Pipeline data tells us which topics and pages to invest in next.

Common failure points

Why B2B SEO programs stall.

  • 1

    Volume-first keyword targeting

Chasing high-volume informational queries that attract the wrong audience while commercial queries go unaddressed.

  • 2

    Missing commercial pages

Plenty of blog posts, but no strong pages for the category, the use cases or the comparisons buyers actually search.

  • 3

    Technical debt

JavaScript-dependent rendering, crawl waste, duplicate templates and slow pages quietly limit everything else.

  • 4

    Content without authority

Competent pages that never rank because the domain has not earned relevant references from the rest of the web.

  • 5

    Rankings without conversion

Pages that attract buyers and then give them nothing proportionate to do next.

  • 6

    Unmeasured outcomes

Organic sessions reported in isolation, with no connection to leads, opportunities or revenue in the CRM.

How we work

Growth improves when every stage connects.

  1. 01

    Audit

Technical health, current visibility, content inventory, authority profile and how organic visitors convert today.

  2. 02

    Map demand

Build an intent map of your market’s searches by buying stage and commercial value.

  3. 03

    Architect

Define the pages, hierarchy and internal linking that the demand map requires.

  4. 04

    Build and fix

Resolve technical constraints, then create and improve pages in priority order.

  5. 05

    Measure and iterate

Track rankings, conversions and pipeline by page group; update what underperforms.

Measurement

How we judge B2B SEO.

  1. Visibility

    Share of commercial search

Rankings and impressions for the queries in your intent map, weighted by commercial value rather than volume.

  2. Engagement

    Qualified sessions

Organic visits to commercial pages, engagement from target industries and returning evaluators.

  3. Conversion

    Organic-sourced intent

Demo, contact and trial conversions from organic search, by page group.

  4. Pipeline

    Commercial contribution

Opportunities and revenue influenced or sourced by organic search, measured in the CRM.

Questions

B2B SEO: common questions

How is B2B SEO different from general SEO?

The fundamentals are the same, but the priorities differ. Search volumes are lower, buying committees are larger and the value of a single visit can be very high. B2B SEO therefore prioritizes commercial intent, page quality for expert readers and measurement against pipeline rather than traffic.

How long does B2B SEO take to work?

Technical fixes and improvements to existing pages can show results within weeks. New commercial pages in competitive categories usually take several months to reach their potential. We prioritize work so that earlier wins fund patience for the longer-term bets.

Do you write the content?

Yes, where it makes sense, and always with input from your subject-matter experts. Pages that need to persuade technical or senior buyers cannot be written from keyword research alone.

Should we invest in SEO or paid search first?

It depends on how much demand already exists and how quickly you need pipeline. Paid search provides faster feedback and can validate which queries convert. SEO compounds over time. Most B2B companies benefit from both, planned together.
